Whitsundays Whitehaven: Iconic Views, 2 Beaches & Snorkel Bliss

We took ages to decide which trip to do and weren’t disappointed. A really well organised trip, lovely boat, friendly crew, tasty lunch and fantastic snorkelling and beaches. Probably the high light of our trip so far.

Well equipped, comfortable boat, very smooth in the water. No one got seasick! Plenty of seating in either the air-condition cabin or on one of the 2 sundecks (NB. The top deck is adults only - love kids but sometimes a little distance goes a long way! 😂) Fantastic snorkeling right off the beach with helpful experienced staff to guide and assist. Delicious buffet lunch as well as morning and afternoon tea included. The frozen cocktails go down a treat after a day on the beach! Time to spend at leisure on the stunning Whitehaven Beach as well as a guided walk up to the lookout. The staff on Zig Zag Whitsundays are the real gems, so friendly and helpful - nothing is too much trouble and always with a smile. They are professional and experienced with one goal - to give you the best possible experience for the day. Fantastic day! Highly recommend.

Such a great day out on the water in the Whitsundays! Staff were amazing and very professional. Took my elderly Mum and 7 year old daughter and both had a great day. Great swimming and snorkelling locations. Very comfortable boats. Lunch, bar and coffee was fantastic. Definitely recommend!

This trip was for a special occasion - my bestie had planned a surprise proposal and invited us along to be part of a most wonderful magical week in the Whitsundays… first stop Whitehaven beach 🥰 wowsers, the photos do not do this place justice - if heaven exists, look not further! Could not praise the staff aboard the zigzag more highly, they were so helpful and went above an beyond to ensure the day was extra special, from setting up the pre-arranged love heart to creating a private lunch hamper on the beach compete with picnic rugs, champagne and flutes. Big shout out to Emily who was chief in charge on the day, and what a day it was - turns out this was to be Emily’s last day at work as she was about to return to her homeland in Ireland … swapping one island home for another. Thank you Emily and thank you zig zag for making this day so very memorable for us all.

We did the day in Whitehaven beach with zigzag, it was an amazing day, the staff were super friendly and were especially helpful with my mother who is disabled, making sure she was able to get to and from the beach as easily as possible! The day was amazing and I recommend this trip for everyone!

Had the most amazing day out on Whitehaven beach! The crew on board the boat were so helpful and lovely and made the day even better! The walk up to the lookup was amazing with breathtaking views. I would 100% do this again if I came back.

The day was over all too fast. We were looked after very well and they even catered with gluten free options. A truly great experience.

We had an absolutely fantastic time on the ZigZag boat trip with snorkelling. We brought our six-month-old baby along, and the crew couldn’t have been more accommodating—willing to help with anything we needed. This made it easy for us to split our snorkelling sessions and both fully enjoy the experience. The snorkelling itself was incredible. The colours, the variety of fish, and even spotting a turtle made it unforgettable. The food on board was delicious and plentiful, and the inside of the boat being air-conditioned was a huge bonus, especially with a baby. We also loved the short hike to the lookout, which offered beautiful views and a great little break between swims. Would 100% recommend this tour to anyone looking for an amazing Whitehaven adventure and a chance to swim in the Great Barrier Reef. A highlight of our trip!

First time in Australia - Whitsundays a must do for me and the day was absolutely everything we hoped it would be ! We couldn’t get an Uber to get there so rushing, called them up - cool, calm and reassuring is the only way to describe it ! You get to the boat and a crew / team who went out of their way to look after you and to make the day both special and memorable. No fuss / no drama just great and friendly ! Fantastic day !
